Spotlight on Public House Brewery in Rolla Missouri

Public House Brewing | Rolla, Missouri

Built on Craft, Partnership, and the Legacy of an Artist

Some brewery projects stand out because of the equipment. Others stand out because of the people behind them. Public House Brewing in Rolla, Missouri is rare in that it’s both.

From the moment you walk in, it’s clear this isn’t a space assembled from catalog pieces. It was shaped — intentionally.

Ownership, led by Josh Stacy, along with a thoughtful redesign team that included Steve Hopkins, approached this build with a clear vision. Craft mattered. Details mattered. Relationships mattered.

That mindset defined every part of this project — including the custom hanging beer tower at the center of the bar.

A Custom Hanging Beer Tower Designed to Belong

Suspended above the bar is a custom stainless steel hanging beer tower — engineered to feel structural rather than decorative.

The clean lines, symmetry, and scale complement the architecture of the room. It anchors the bar without overwhelming it. This wasn’t a standard install. It required careful coordination to integrate into the build seamlessly.

We partnered closely with Kaemmerlen Facility Solutions, led by Nathan Kaemmerlen and his team, to execute the installation properly. Their coordination, planning, and attention to structural detail were critical in bringing the suspended tower concept to life.

When ownership, design, construction, and equipment partners operate as one team, the end result shows.

Josh and the redesign team stayed engaged throughout the process — reviewing details, aligning on vision, and ensuring the final installation reflected the personality of Public House.

But what truly makes Public House Brewing unforgettable isn’t just the equipment.

It’s the art.

The Creative Force Behind the Space: Travis Watkins

If you’ve spent time inside Public House Brewing, you already know the work of Travis Watkins — even if you didn’t realize it at first.

His influence runs through nearly every corner of the brewery.

The bold pop-culture portraits.
The vibrant murals.
The layered textures and custom installations.
Even elements of the furniture and design details guests gather around.

Travis wasn’t simply an artist brought in for a few pieces. He helped shape the visual identity of the space.

A Rolla native and Army veteran with more than two decades of service, Travis carried a global perspective into his work. Years spent living across Europe, Japan, Washington D.C., and the Middle East influenced his bold, street-inspired style. When he returned home, that perspective found a canvas inside Public House.

His collaboration with the brewery grew organically. Creative conversations over beers evolved into murals, portraits, and even beer can designs inspired by the energy and layout of concert posters. Many of the labels included subtle local references — landmarks, team members, family connections — weaving community directly into the brand.

It wasn’t just decoration. It was storytelling.

When Travis passed away last year, the decision was made not to replace or reinvent what he created — but to preserve it.

The brewery remains a living tribute to his work. His artistic fingerprint is still present in every mural, every design detail, every corner of the space. That kind of loyalty to an artist’s vision is rare — and it speaks volumes about the culture behind Public House Brewing.

When Vendors Become True Partners

One of the most impressive aspects of this project was how the team approached collaboration.

Public House doesn’t treat vendors as transactional suppliers. They treat them as partners in the process.

Communication was direct. Ideas were shared openly. The goal wasn’t just to complete an install — it was to build something cohesive and lasting.

For Quality Draft Solutions, projects like this represent what’s possible when craftsmanship, creativity, and respect intersect.

More Than a Bar. More Than a Tower.

Public House Brewing in Rolla is proof that a brewery can be technically refined and deeply personal at the same time.

The hanging beer tower anchors the room.
The artwork defines its personality.
The leadership protects its culture.

And when all of that aligns, you don’t just build a bar.

You build something that lasts.
