Two Habits Keep It Pouring Clean

Cleaning & Maintenance

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Two habits keep it pouring clean.

A quick daily check and one deep clean a week. That's it. Here's exactly what each one involves.

IMPORTANT

Before you do anything

  • Do not run hot water through the system.
  • Do not leave containers empty for long periods of time - always keep water or a beverage in them.
  • Do not adjust air pressure or infusers without speaking to the store manager or contacting QDS.
Every Day

Daily cleaning

1
WIPE DOWN EXTERIOR
Clean and sanitize the surface
  • Clean stainless steel surfaces with a microfiber cloth and mild cleaner.
  • Sanitize tap handles and drip trays.
2
FLUSH LINES · COLD WATER ONLY
Rinse until it runs clear
  • Fill a clean 3-gallon jug with cold water; place all draw tubes into the jug.
  • Run water through each faucet until flow runs completely clear.
  • Continue for an additional 30 seconds to fully rinse the system.
3
CHECK AIR COMPRESSOR
Confirm it's cycling normally
  • Use caution connecting or disconnecting fittings - high pressure is dangerous.
  • The compressor cycles periodically, usually after every ~5–6 drinks - this is normal.
  • If it runs more frequently than expected, contact QDS.
Every 7 Days

Weekly deep clean

Takes about 20 minutes, most of it hands-off while the cleaner soaks.
Before You Begin
Remove all faucet tips and clean before flushing the beverage lines, and keep them off for the entire cleaning, rinsing, and sanitizing process. This lets loosened coffee grounds and debris pass freely through the lines instead of getting trapped in the diffuser discs.
1
Mix the Cleaner
Urnex Clearly Cold™ liquid cleaner
Dilute approx. ¾ oz per 3 gallons of cold water in the designated cleaning container - fill with water first, then add cleaner. Do NOT use hot water or powder-based cleaner.
2
Soak
Circulate and let it sit
Flush the solution through the lines and allow it to soak for up to 15 minutes.
3
Rinse
Flush twice with clean cold water
Continue until no residue remains.
4
Sanitize
Urnex Complete Café™ sanitizer
Mix ¾ oz per 3 gallons of water - fill the vessel with water first. Flush through the lines, then do a final rinse with clean water.
5
Reassemble
Reinstall and test pour
Reinstall faucet tips and draw tubes to their original containers. Pour until you can see product - about 16 oz, unless you have a long draw system.
Also Weekly

Compressor maintenance

Avoid spilling beverages on the compressor or fittings; wipe down periodically.
Empty the receiver tank once a week (more often in high humidity) via the relief valve at the bottom to release moisture buildup.
Make sure the compressor is in an area with clean, circulating air.

Good To Know

Beverage lines

EJ Lines are PVC- and BPA-free barrier tubing designed to preserve beverage quality. Use cold water and cold-compatible cleaning solutions only — hot water can damage the lines. Always finish cleaning with a cold water rinse.

In-line air filters

Inspect monthly for discoloration or moisture buildup. Replace as needed - typical lifespan is approximately 12 months, depending on your operating environment.
